12 Surfers Parade needed a complete renovation. This was a very old home, with classic 100 year old existing sandstone walls. The lower ground floor had deteriorated to the point of being uninhabitable. It was a treasure of a place, needing the respect and dedication of good restoration work to make it the home it was meant to be.

Renovation was a real question of finding the right ideas and concepts. The design had to be rethought, as well. The decision was to do a full upgrade with complete renovation.

It took 9 months to do the work, and the result was spectacular:

• The house was upgraded to four bedrooms, with four personal balconies
• The lower ground floor was turned into a living room, dining room and guest bathroom.
• First floor design was remodeled into a main bathroom, ensuite to main bedroom with walk-in robe
• The grounds were extensively landscaped.
• Retaining walls were restored, and paving and external lighting installed.
• A double garage with remote door and gate were installed.
